The Fixabolt M6 prevailing torque nut (DIN 980V style) is an all-metal lock nut designed to resist backing off in service, without nylon inserts.

M6 Prevailing Torque Nut for Fabrication and Plant

  • All-metal prevailing torque locking action for dependable thread friction
  • No nylon insert, preferred in hotter zones and oily environments
  • A2 stainless for good corrosion resistance in many outdoor applications

Uses of M6 All-Metal Lock Nuts

Brackets, frames, guards and machinery assemblies where vibration can loosen standard nuts. Use the bolt pitch specified on the drawing.

Notes

Often called up as DIN 980V and commonly treated as equivalent to ISO 7042 / BS EN ISO 7042. Prevailing torque can reduce with re-use, follow your spec.
