The countersunk head with nibs helps the screw sit neatly into timber, while the Torx drive gives positive bit engagement and helps reduce cam-out compared with traditional drive types. This makes installation easier when driving longer structural screws into timber.

The XDC cutting tip is the main reason to choose this countersunk structural range: it is designed to speed up installation, reduce the torque needed at the driver and help limit timber splitting as the screw enters the material. Dense timber, edge fixing and end-grain applications may still require a pilot hole.

The Evoshield 1000hr coating is specified for outdoor timber applications and ACQ compatibility, making these screws a practical option for decking frames, landscaping timbers, pergolas and other external timber construction projects.
