These 5.5 x 100mm countersunk wing drill screws are designed for fixing timber, boards and suitable composite materials to steel. The integral wings ream a clearance hole through the timber before breaking away on contact with the steel, allowing the drill point and thread to engage the steel section correctly.
This TEK 5 version is intended for heavier steel sections from 4.0mm to 12.0mm, making it easy to select the appropriate range for timber-to-steel work.
A sharp drill point and precision-formed concave fluting aid drilling and chip removal. Countersinking nibs beneath the head help provide a flush finish in suitable timber, while the thread form is matched to the TEK 5 drilling range for secure fixing into steel.
